Earth’s mightiest heroes have landed in Singapore ― at the Science Centre, to be specific. From 29 October to 5 March 2017, the Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N Exhibition will be drawing crowds with multi-sensorial, immersive and educational experiences. The exhibition, curated around the principles of S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering and maths), is in collaboration with NASA, The Science & Entertainment Exchange, the National Academy of Sciences, Neuroverse, Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Gamedesk.
If you’re a fan of the superhero movies, you’ll will love getting a first-hand look at intelligence files, classified studies and experiments that explore the origins of the crusaders. Be sure to check out Singapore’s unique feature, the High Performance Test Lab, where you can compare your reflexes with Captain America’s, test your flight skills at the Iron Man Flight Simulator through augmented reality, and pit your strength against Thor, who wields the mighty hammer, at the Mjölnir Simulation section.
The fun hands-on Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N (Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) exhibition at the Annex Hall, which has toured New York, Seoul, Paris and Las Vegas will thrill science nuts. Learn how Captain America survived being frozen in ice for 70 years (hint: it was probably through a process of cryopreservation), plus, examine Tony Stark’s engineering feat that allows him to become Iron Man.
You’ll enter as recruits and make your way through interactive stations to complete tasks, picking up badges as you finish. Along the way, as part of the extensive combat support network for The Avengers team that’s set within their high-tech training facility, you’ll get to learn all you can about the characters. Another highlight is viewing the original props, costumes and holograms featured in the movie at the interactive activity stations.
Tickets cost $25 for adults, and $18 for kids (Singapore citizens and PRs) ― get your tickets here.
