The long hours, the sleepless nights, the constant juggling, the endless worry, the immense responsibility, even having to handle shamers/know-it-alls who judge… Yep, being a mother is hands down one of the toughest jobs in the world.

Yet, these woes and frustrations melt in the face of a gummy grin or a toothy smile from junior because these are her intangible “rewards”. Indeed, it’s a mother’s all-consuming love for her kids that makes her push on through every ache, every lost minute of sleep and every fear.

To celebrate all mothers and their unshakeable love and care for their families, SmartParents asked celeb dads and bloggers to send in visuals that captures favourite moments of their wives.

Says daddy blogger Kelvin Ang whose wife, Sharon, is with their third and youngest child (and only daughter), Alethea, 6, “This photo encapsulates everything I love about my wife. She loves the kids (important) and me (very important!) but above all, she doesn’t pretend to be perfect, but always strives to be a better daughter, wife and mother than the day before. I love how she makes me a better person.” (Photo: Kelvin Ang)

She is my kids’ everything…

Mediacorp Talking Point presenter Steven Chia says of his wife Tania, who is with their children Joshua, 7, and Lucy, 11, in the picture, “I love this photo because it really is a reflection of the relationship my kids have with their mother. They are so comfortable with her that they can just ‘hang out’ ― they don't fear her even though she is their teacher and role model and that’s because she's also their friend. They know that no matter what happens, Mum will always be there for them.” (Photo: Steven Chia)
