You’ll enjoy a fab roast beef and delish seafood at Quentin’s The Eurasian Restaurant that is part of its authentic home-style offerings.

The diverse menu features everything from curries and roasts to homemade stews. While we wait for our mains, we bite into appetising fish keropok with sambal belachan, then wolf down the Meaty Cutlets, $10/two, appetisers. Though the corned-beef-and-potato cutlets are huge, we simply can’t get enough of its deep-fried deliciousness. The protein adventure continues with a generous serving of melt-in-your-mouth pot roast beef knuckle, $16.80, in a special brown sauce.

       If you’re game for something spicy, try the Chicken Curry Debal or Devil’s Curry, $18.80, which is made with bacon bones, chicken cocktail sausages, potatoes and cabbage. The Chicken Stew Kristang or Eurasian-style stew, $16.80, has your name on it if you’re looking for something hearty. End your meal with sago gula melaka, $3.80 — it’s worth every calorie!


Tot-O-Meter: Your mini-dynamo will make a beeline for the play area near the restaurant. The set-up comes with a glass partition, so you can keep an eye on them while you chow down. Packed with toys, books and even two rechargeable kids’ cars, your peewee can have a go on the mini-slide or in the ball pit, or just doodle on the tot-sized blackboard. This space also scores brownie points for the nursing area it thoughtfully provides. If you manage to tear your kewpie away from the fun, the kid’s menu has fish and chips, chicken tenders, and sausage and vegetable stew, $12++ per set, served with apple juice and a scoop of ice cream. It’s little wonder that patrons tend to be extended families who come together on weekends for a relaxing brunch.
