Though these glitterati swan around toting designer diaper bags and have trained nannies to help them ―  unlike most of us ― nothing can protect them from their toddler’s annoying behaviour!

From taming their little one’s tears in front of the ever-eager paparazzi to dealing with other acts of mischief, parenting is no walk in the park even if you happen to be an A-list mum or dad.

That said, it’s tough having to grow up when cameras are always being shoved in your face. Quite likely, they may not get to enjoy that much quality time with their well-known parents either.

Prince George, 4

While Prince George has charmed many including heads of state like former US President Obama while in a bathrobe, the young royal has also made headlines for his bad behaviour. Prince George, who is third in line to the throne, was seen rubbing his eyes and looking grumpy when the royals deplaned on an official visit to Germany last year. Prince William, 35, had to coax Prince George to get off the airplane and return the warm welcome he'd received from various German politicians and dignitaries. When the young royals visited Canada, Prince George famously snubbed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when the latter tried to shake his hand and give him a high-five. Did somebody say awkward?! Princess Charlotte, 3

Being a royal isn’t as easy as you think, never mind the private jets, nannies and fancy togs. Not only do you need to meet new people and shake countless hands, you’re required to put on your best smile all the time. Needless to say, these onerous duties can exhaust a pint-sized royal. Princess Charlotte’s meltdown happened during the royals’ last-minute stop over at an Airbus training facility in Hamburg in 2017. Charlotte was first seen grabbing papers from mummy’s hands. When Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, gently retrieves them from Charlotte, the unhappy toddler shows her displeasure ― first, by stomping her feet, before throwing herself onto the tarmac to bawl. Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, 4, and Olive Barrymore Kopelman, 5

When Drew Barrymore organised two Disneyland excursions for her two daughters, both trips ended up embarrassing the mum. During an appearance on the talk show, Late Night with Seth Myers, in February last year, the 43-year-old Santa Clarita Diet actress showed pictures of her two kids throwing epic tantrums, crying and rolling around on the ground in the theme park. For one daughter, the tantrum was triggered when Drew wouldn’t let her chase a bird. Drew notes, “In hindsight, as a parent you have these revelations like, 'I should have let her catch it,' because she either would have and been satisfied, or she wouldn't have [caught it] and been mad at the duck — and not her mum, who tried to stop her from chasing the bird.” (Photo: E! North West, 4

During rapper Kanye West’s fashion show in 2015, his daughter North, then 2, stole the show when she went into full meltdown mode while perched on mummy’s lap in the front row. Kim Kardashian, 37, struggled to quell her daughter’s cries, which did not impress the VIP guests seated in the same row. In fact, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who seems to be inching herself away from the bawling tot, crosses her arms and purses her lips. The reality TV star eventually carried her distressed cherub away. North is also well-known among the paparazzi for being an outspoken toddler. Once, on leaving her ballet class in a tutu, she raised her hands toward the photographers and yelled, “I said no pictures!” (Photo: Daily Mail; Mirror)

Jackson Theron, 6

Thanks to the paparazzi, celeb parents have to deal with way more judgement for their parenting decisions than the man-on-the-street. Actress Charlize Theron found herself on the receiving end of mean comments such as “monster mum” when she was captured “dragging” her adopted son — then aged 4 — off the ground of a busy parking lot. Other mums, who expressed a more sympathetic view of the issue online, noted that the pictures depict a scene in a typical toddler meltdown. Some said it looked pretty clear that the Snow White and the Huntsman actress looked like she was trying to pick her son off the ground. (Photo: OK! Magazine)

Hadrien Trudeau, 4

Any parent can be sure junior possesses the uncanny ability to throw a hissy fit at the most inconvenient moment. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s 4-year-old son, Hadrien stole the limelight during the family’s official visit to India in February this year. Hadrien was photographed making funny faces, as well as looking bored and grumpy. He also face-planted himself on the ground when his dad was about to sign the guest book at a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Ghandi. However, once Hadrien finally snapped out of his flare-up, photos depict him having the time of his life in a traditional Indian costume. It just goes to show that toddlers have that special ability to morph from meltdown mode to sunny tempered and flashing megawatt smiles for the camera in the blink of an eye!  (Photo: NBC Today)

Moroccan Cannon, 7

No way Grammy-winning songstress Mariah Carey is letting anyone — not even her own children — steal her spotlight. In 2015, when the 48-year-old mother of twins was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, her son — then 4 — began wailing in front of the press. It started when little Moroccan climbed on his mum, hugging and clinging to her as she posed for photos next to her iconic star. But when one of Mariah’s assistants pulled him away kicking, screaming and crying, the sweet moment quickly descended into madness. But what really caught the attention of netizens was the way Mariah went on posing for the photographers ― cool and not in the least fazed by her inconsolable son. (Photo: Huffington Post)

Samuel Affleck, 6

Alias actress Jennifer Garner is determined to bring up her three kids as grounded individuals, although they are the offspring of celeb parents. The 46-year-old mum, who is also raising two daughters, Seraphina, 9, and Violet, 12 —  told US magazine that her son — who was 3 at the time — had a public outburst when he wasn’t allowed to buy something he wanted in a bike store. Well-meaning store assistants then asked Jennifer if they could give the item to her son — only for the actress to politely decline. Jennifer explains, “I said, ‘I’m sorry that he’s throwing a fit in your store and you’re so sweet to want to give this to him. And thank you for asking me first. But he’s going to have to throw a fit.’ I said no. No is no.” (Photo: Daily Mail)
