It’s easy for others to tell you to “stay cool” but not so easy for you to do! We give you five simple ways…
1. Phone a friend
A problem shared is a problem halved — a quick chat with someone who understands your predicament will help you see the funny side.
2. Eat a banana
It’s high in potassium, which keeps blood-sugar levels up and helps regulate blood pressure.
3. Dance to an upbeat song
A quick blast of your favourite tune will change your mood. Taylor Swift can be a great distraction!
4. Pour yourself a cup of black tea
It decreases the amount of cortisol, the stress hormone, in your body and gets you to sit and sip quietly for a minute.
5. Lose yourself in lavender
A spritz is proven to lower heart rates and blood pressure.
