From the time your baby is in your womb, he is already getting ready for the delicious world of food that awaits him. By the time you are 15 weeks pregnant, he would be developing the ability to suck and swallow.

Food preferences start in utero, too. Studies have shown that what a woman eats during her pregnancy is easily detectable in her amniotic fluid, and her baby develops a taste for familiar flavours. In this way, some babies inherit a like or dislike for certain tastes and textures from their mum, though all babies are born with an inherent preference for sweet tastes.

By the time you are 15 weeks pregnant, he would be developing the ability to suck and swallow.

After your baby is born, he slowly picks up skills and abilities that will set the stage him for self-feeding. From being able to sit up independently and honing his pincer grasp, to being able to bring his spoon to his mouth, your peewee should be able to begin self-feeding effectively by the time he turns 2.
