In recent years, buoyed by demand, food delivery services have been springing up on our sunny island. Simply key in your postal code on the website (some even have mobile apps), and it’ll list different types of food that can be delivered right to your doorstep.
These services come in especially handy for families ― you could be a busy working mum who doesn’t feel like making dinner, or perhaps you’re planning your child’s birthday party at short notice, and need enough food for 20 people. Maybe you’re preggers, and you’re craving something from your favourite supper joint, but you’re too tired to get out of the house.

Minimum order: Varies. $12.50 for breakfast (8.30am to 11am, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 11am, weekends) and lunch (11am to 5pm daily); and $18 for dinner (5pm to 11pm daily). Delivery area: Island-wide. Delivery speed: Can deliver within 15 minutes, if the eateries are nearby. Delivery hours: 8am to 11pm daily. Ongoing promotions: Get your discounts by installing and opening the UberEATS app, tapping on the profile icon on the bottom right, then tapping on “free food”. You’ll get discount codes here. Payment methods: Cash on delivery. Online payment is available for certain restaurants. Comments: The beautifully styled food photos on the website are sure to whet your appetite! Delivery is quick, since Uber uses their riders and drivers for the delivery service. However, some users complain that only a limited number of restaurants deliver to their areas. If you already use Uber for their rides, good news – you can pay with the same Uber account. In addition, you can use the mobile app to track your UberEATS order and estimate the arrival time.

Delivery speed: The site says you can get your food within minutes! Delivery hours: Depends on the restaurant’s opening hours. Comments: Considering that it’s one of the latest to hop on the food delivery service bandwagon, Honestbee shows plenty of potential, since its restaurants have been tested by their team.
