Living in Singapore, we’re lucky to have our pick of a huge variety of food, as and when we like it. The best eateries are never too far off, and many open till the wee hours of the morning.

However, there’s nothing like enjoying a bowl of hot soup on a cold day, or your favourite pizza in the company of your family in the comfort of your own home.

In recent years, buoyed by demand, food delivery services have been springing up on our sunny island. Simply key in your postal code on the website (some even have mobile apps), and it’ll list different types of food that can be delivered right to your doorstep.

These services come in especially handy for families ―  you could be a busy working mum who doesn’t feel like making dinner, or perhaps you’re planning your child’s birthday party at short notice, and need enough food for 20 people. Maybe you’re preggers, and you’re craving something from your favourite supper joint, but you’re too tired to get out of the house.

To whet your appetite, we’ve rounded up 10 fantastic food delivery services that promise to take the angst off queuing for a table or cooking at home.
