Gone are the days of when you’d boil bottles in large pots of water to sterilise them. These days, a wide variety of sterilisers are available on the market to suit your every need. Check out nifty ones…
WHAT This compact steriliser uses natural steam sterilisation to kill 99 per cent of harmful germs in just six minutes. The automatic shut-off is extremely convenient and energy-saving. And if, after sterilising, you don’t open the unit, the sterilised contents can stay sterile for 24 hours.
PROS Nice design, and fits neatly onto a corner of a kitchen table top. It can hold at least six bottles plus teats, and you can remove the centre portion if you don’t need such a large unit when you travel for instance.
CONS Heating plate seems to brown easily. Though the instruction manual said that such limescale could be cleaned with citric acid, lemon juice or vinegar, many say that it did not make much of difference. Others reported that water leaked during usage.
